First Official Photo Gig. =)

So.... it may not be legal for me to put these up here, because I think that these pictures technically belong to catholic charities....I'll ask about it and take them down if I need to.
On Monday I had my first official photography gig. It was for a charity event called Soup's On, in which I got to go around as the event photographer and take pictures of people, things, bands, etc. It was a blast!
I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity, despite any awkward things that may have happened. =)
I've also rediscovered how much I love editing pictures, and taking them.
So here's some pretty pictures to look at. Hope you like them

OH look! A picture of GRASS! In black and white! I wish we had grass. I was playing with DOF for my photo class in the fall.....

Back to posting and list making, because I really want to.

1. Okay so. Project 365. Off to a not good start. Not in the least. It's already the 19th. Where in the world has time gone already?! I'm going to have to restart it. I would now, if i had a camera on me. I don't. Maybe when I get home. I am however still taking pictures for my own enjoyment, I just need to find a better/more efficient way of posting them. I have an idea, I just need to figure out if it's going to work.

2. Reason number 35 why I hate the winter. I should make and post this list at some point. Yesterday I slipped on ice down some stairs. I hit my back and my head. I had a bad headache all yesterday because of it, and today, my back is achy and sore. Stupid winter. I was looking at a photography website this morning and it was on a nice warm beach somewhere, where the participants were wearing shorts and tee-shirts and basking in the warm weather. I would very much like to bask in the warm weather. Or somewhere where going outside was....you know....bearable.....I don't think I'm made for cold weather.

3. A guy at a coffee shop came up to Linds and I and told us that we were pretty, well not that creepily. He told us that he was promoting a band, and they needed more pretty girls at the opening, and so we should come or something like that....either way, pretty flattering for a stranger in a coffee house. We also got a poster and a free CD out of it. No idea if its any good. I think its still in Lindsay's car.

4. The lady at Subway put black olives on my sub, I didn't say anything about them, in fact I think I was done adding veggies, she put them on anyway....I don't really care for black olives.... they are too salty. I do however like green and calamata olives. I suddenly have a craving for pasta. hmm

5. I am wearing fingerless gloves typing this. I don't like the cold. I'm considering going to steal my roommates heating pad. She's not home, she wouldn't know.... "Hey Sarah, have you seen my heating pad?" "Nope...not me....don't know nothing about that."

6. I'm rambling, I'm in a strange mood. I know that I am rambling, I just for some reason am unable to stop rambling. Sorry to Julie, who I think is my only reader at this point.

6.5. I saw Beauty in the Beast in 3D a few days ago. It was pretty awesome. I really enjoyed it. Since then I've had songs stuck in my head from it. This one quote keeps running through my head. It sort of describes my life right now.
I want adventure in the great wide somewhere.
I want it more than I can tell.
And for once it might be grand
To have someone understand
I want so much more than they've got planned.

7. I held up a microphone for a good hour last night. A fancy recording microphone for audio for a video. I like little things about video production like that.

8. I might stop this rambling post before it gets too crazy. Oh...we're already past that?
We're so far past that, that it happened this post started?
You're not reading anymore?
Hmm...

Happy New Year!

So, I've been getting behind on this whole blog thing lately, which is fine, because I've essentially been on vacation for the last two weeks. Can you believe that it's already 2012? I'll probably post some of my resolutions tomorrow, but for now, I am introducing something new to my life. It's called project 365, and the goal is to take a picture every day for an entire year (and post it). I've been wanting to try it for a while, but figured that New years is a great time to start.
I'm kinda a goal oriented person, and I like to be held accountable for things, so this will be good for me. Anyway. Happy New year, to start us out, we get TWO pictures taken today.

There was a lot of crafting, cooking and celebrating.
I am so incredibly grateful for all the people I got to spend it with. =)
